* Land Tour Fare listed above are per person in U.S. dollars based on two adults sharing one twin bedded room, double occupancy and does not include any air ticket. A customer who travels alone is required to pay a single room supplement.
* Airfare listed above includes round trip international air ticket and applicable China domestic air tickets, fuel surcharge and tax. Round trip international air ticket is based on Air China (CA), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX) departure. For other cities, please call us for the US domestic add-on.
* Charge for children under 12 (2-11 years of age): For airfare, the rate is 90% of the regular adult price. For land tour tare, the rate is 90% of the regular adult price if share a room with two adults and not asking for extra bed. If need an extra bed in the same room with two adults, the price is the same as adult. Children 12 and older will be charged at the regular adult fare.
* Early departure and late return: There will a US$50 per person charge for air ticket deviation, in addition to airlines surcharge for different class and weekend if necessary.

Day 1 USA - Wuhan

Today we board an international flight bound for Chengdu, China. Cross the International Date Line.

Day 2 Wuhan

Arrive in Wuhan. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the luxury hotel for rest and relaxation. 

Day 3 Wuhan - Chibi - Wuhan

Drive to Chibi ( Red Cliff in Chinese) to visit the ruins of Chibi battlefield. It is right in here thatthe united army of the Shu and the Wu states defeated the Wei’s so- called one million soldiers.Here you will see the majestic statue of Marshal Zhou Yu, Nanping Hill, Feng Chu Temple whereGeneral Pang Tong read books on the art of war, the platform where Prime Minister Zhu Geliang borrowed the easterly wind, “ Chi Bi ( Red Cliff in Chinese)” written By Marshal Zhouyu and the exhibition hall of the great battle. Many men of letters and poets visited this place and some great poems were written such as “ A broken halberd was recovered from the bottom of the Yangtze River; It was cleaned, polished and examined, and had a tale to tell. If the easterly wind didn’t help Marshal Zhou set fire on the enemy. The two Qiao of beautiful sisters Qiao would be captured in the palace of Cao”(by Du Mu) . Drive back to Wuhan. Enjoy the local cuisine for dinner.

Day 4 Wuhan - Xiangyang

Drive to Xiangyang, a famous ancient city during the Three Kindoms Period. Visit the Ancient City Wall of Xiangyang, which was built along the Han River and is still strong after thousands of years wave washing. Visit the Migong Temple, which was built in memory of Mifu, the great calligraphy master in Song Dynasty.

Day 5 Xiangyang - Mt. Wudang

Visit the former residence of Prime Minister Zhu Ge Liang (Xiangyang Ancient Longzhong), the famous statesman and strategist at that time. Xiangyang Ancient Longzhong,where zhuge liang lived in seclusion during his youth. Longzhong mountain pinnacle, zhong ling yuk, quiet and elegant. Liu bei's "three visits to the thatched cottage" triggered the longzhong strategy, which is known as the origin of the world's three divisions. Drive to Mt. Wudang, the holy land of Taoism.

Day 6 Mt. Wudang

Go up the mountain by cable car, visit Golden Hall. Located on the main peak of Wudang Mountain - Tianzhu Peak, and  constructed in the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty, it is the largest golden copper hall around China. 5.54 meters tall, 4.4 meters wide, 3.15 meters deep, the hall with unventilated structural parts has the golden copper statue of Heavenly Upper Emperor enshrined, which is as heavy as over ten tons. What is magic is that the hall is a good conductor itself. When thunder and lightning hit it, you can find spark leaping around, but the hall still remains intact. Visit Zixiao Palace, It is the administrative office of Wudang Taoist Association. On March 3rd and September 9th of the lunar year, Taoist rites are observed here. First built in the Song Dynasty (960-1127) and renovated in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the palace is the only wooden structure of irimoya with double-eaves. The major attractions are Longhu Hall, Shifang Hall, Zixiao Hall, Fumu Hall, Taizi Cave and so forth. Clay statues of a dragon and a tiger are guarding the Longhu Hall, a hundred staircases can lead to the main hall – Zixiao Palace, behind which statues of Heavenly Upper Emperor’sparents are enshrined. Visit Tai Zi Po , also called Fuzhen Temple, is situated beside the main road for ascending. It was said that the oldest son of an emperor had cultivated himself according to Taoism doctrine at the age of 15. Its layout is basically follows that of Scriptures of Heavenly Upper Emperor. Covering 2000 square meters, Taizi Po is a relatively bigger architecture complex, including Zushi Hall, Longhu Hall, Huangjing Hall, Wuyun Builing, Taizi Hall. And Taizi Hall is the best place to overlook the Golden Hall. Go down the mountain by cable car.

Day 7 Mt. Wudang - Hanzhong

Get up early and drive to Hanzhong. Visit Shimen Plank Road Scenic Area, located about 9 miles (15 km) to the northwest outskirts of Hanzhong city, Plank Road refers to the ancient passage built along mountains and cliffs. Ancient Chinese people cut holes on the cliff and inserted wooden beams, on which planks were laid to make a passage. Wooden railings were erected alongside to ensure the safety of users. Its history can be traced back to the Warring States Periods (476 BC-221 BC). In Qin (221 BC-206 BC) and Han (206BC-220) Dynasties the construction scale was largely expanded. Among the countless ancient plank roads, Baoxie Plank Road is the most famous one. It was originally built in the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD). The place where the south entrance was located was called Bao and the north entrance was called Xie, thus the plank road was named Baoxie. It was 146 miles long. However, the original Baoxie Plank Road has been destroyed, only leaving holes in the mountain.

Day 8 Hanzhong - Jianmenguan - Langzhong

Drive to Jianmen Pass Beauty Spot, Visit Jianmen Pass Cuiyun corridor (including a round-trip cable car ), the total planning area of 84 square kilometers, the core area of 6 square kilometers, Jianmenguan is a combination of shudao culture, three kingdoms culture, war culture.

Drive to Langzhong.

Day 9 Langzhong - Chongqing

Tour Langzhong Ancient City (including tickets to Zhangfei Temple, Gongyuan, Huaguang Building and Zhongtian Building) and a local cuisine . Langzhong has a history of more than 2,300 years and is one of the four ancient cities in China. The ancient city was built along the Jialing River, which is guarded by nanjin pass across the river. During The Three Kingdoms period, Zhangfei, a general of the Shu Han Dynasty, served as the grand commander and was stationed in Langzhong for seven years. Zhang fei was killed by his subordinates Fanqiang and Zhanda and buried in Langzhong city. The architectural style of the ancient city reflects the ancient Chinese view of residential feng shui, the checkerboard pattern, and the buildings integrating the northern and southern styles. It is a typical example of the site selection of the ancient Chinese city "the unity of heaven and man". You can walk around the ancient city, visit the North Sichuan Road, Gongyuan, Huaguang Building, Zhongtian Building and other attractions, to learn about the history and culture of the ancient city. In the afternoon, drive to Chongqing, the fourth municipality directly under the central government of China, covering an area of 82,400 square kilometers, more than twice the total area of Beijing, tianjin and Shanghai, and the largest economic center city in southwest China and the upper reaches of the Yangtze river. Chongqing is one of the hotpot birthplace, known as the "Chinese hotpot capital". Enjoy the hotpot dinner tonight.

Day10 Chongqing - Enshi

In the morning, you will visit Chongqing Historic Sites Museum of the War of Resistance against Japan. There are fifteen historic relics preserved on the west and east groups of museum, scattered in a horseshoe-shape along the land form. These historical building were built as simple and elegant official residence style during the Republic of China, and possessed with typical eclectic combination of Chinese and Western architectures with unique mountainous features. Those well preserved buildings in large scale are one of the examples of recent and modern architecture development in southwest of China. Those are worth to be researched and studied as samples of the development of modern architecture in Chongqing of last century. All historic sites covers 4503 square meters, included General Chiang Kai-shek's official house-Yuxiu Tower, Madame Chiang's residence house ---Pine Hall, Marshall and Chiang Ching-kuo's office and residence -Grass Pavilion, Kong Lingjun's residence -Kong Garden, USA Military Aiding China Delegation Station ---Green Lotus House, school for orphans of high rank generals or officials who died in resistance against Japanese aggression -Huangshan Primary School, Madame Soong Chingling's residence- Mansion in Clouds, He Yingqin's office-Whispering Pine House, Former Residence of Jiang Kui, Air-raid Shelter, Gazebo Facing the Two Rivers, Fortress Hill , Electric Generator Room, Safeguard Office, Attendant's House and so on. In the afternoon, you take the high speed train to Enshi.

Day11 Enshi

Today, you will visit Enshi Grand Canyon, a section of the Qingjiang Grand Canyon and the "natural museum of geological wonders of the world and karst topography", which is praised by experts as comparable to the grand canyon of the United States for its beauty and unique style. Take a sightseeing car to Yunlong Ground Crevice, steep Banks, waterfall, gurgling water at the bottom of the crevice, connect Tianshui River and the vast Qingjiang River. Continue taking sightseeing bus and transfer to cable car and climb Qixing Village Scenic Spot. You can also hire a slider at your own expense. Take a sightseeing escalator down the mountain, You taste Tujia flavor for dinner.

Day12 Enshi - Chongqing

Enshi is one of the cradles of Ba Culture and the only minority autonomous prefecture in Hubei Province. Visit Enshi Tusi City, the largest and most typical ancient architectural complex in the stilted buildings of Tujia People in China, to learn about the historical origin of Tujia People and experience the ancient and honest folk customs of Tujia people. Jiujin Hall is the core part of the whole Tusi City. It is composed of 333 pillars, 333 stone column plinths, 330 doors, thousands of carved wooden Windows, thousands of purlins and tens of thousands of rafters. Take the high-speed train back to Chongqing in the afternoon. Chongqing is fond of spicy food. It is good at creating new dishes with various materials. It has a variety of styles, including spicy chicken and boiled fish, as well as non-spicy dishes such as steamed pork, twice-cooked pork and pickled cabbage fish. Taste Chongqing style food for dinner.

Day13 Chongqing - USA

After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. You will be in the United States the same day. End of tour.
