Itinerary

Day 1 USA - Rio De Janeiro, Brazil  

Today, board your international flight to Rio De Janeiro and relax as you fly to Brazil’s second largest city.

Day 2 Rio De Janeiro

Upon arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport, transfer to your hotel in the Copacabana neighborhood and get the rest of the day to relax or start discovering this vibrant metropolis, known for its white beaches, samba music and carnival.

Day 3 Rio De Janeiro

Wake up to Rio this morning: one of the world's most colourful and exhilarating cities. Spectacularly located between Sugar Loaf Mountain, forested peaks, and golden beaches like Ipanema and Copacabana, this captivating city offers irresistible scenery and an unquenchable zest for life. After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing including an excursion to Mount Corcovado, the 710-meter peak crowned by the Christ the Redeemer statue. Delve first into the charming Cosme Velho quarter with its faded mansions and hidden gardens before riding the cog train up through the Tijuca Forest to the Corcovado viewing platform. Marvel at the bird's-eye views over the city below, and awe at the remarkable Christ statue, standing 98 feet high, with its arms spanning 92 feet. Later, return to your hotel and relax over dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Day 4 Rio De Janeiro - Samba Dinner Show

Another day of sightseeing beckons after breakfast today, with visits to Sugar Loaf Mountain and Rio's beaches. After passing the stunning Botafogo and Vermelha beaches in the elegant Urca neighborhood, take the two-stage cable car journey up to Sugar Loaf, the 393-meter rock pinnacle at Guanabara Bay. Alight at the first stop of Morro da Urca to visit its gardens and viewpoints, and then continue to the summit to experience the breathtaking panoramas over the city, its beaches, and Corcovado. After descending, head to Copacabana Beach, one of the planet's most iconic beaches. Admire this 3-mile sandy sweep fringed by palm trees and high-rises, and take in the bustling beach life with locals playing volleyball, sunbathing, strolling, and swimming. Round off today at a glittering samba dinner show, savoring classic Brazilian dishes as you watch an electrifying show of samba, capoeira, forro, and other local dance styles.

Day 5 Rio De Janeiro - Iguassu

Leave for the airport after breakfast and fly to Iguassu, home to the spectacular Iguassu Falls that straddle the Argentine-Brazilian border, for a 2-night stay. On arrival, transfer to your hotel before viewing the Iguassu Falls, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, from the Brazilian side. Walk through pathways getting close to the roaring waters and feeling their spray. Enjoy your dinner at hotel tonight.

Day 6 Iguassu Falls - Latin America Dinner Show 

Today is devoted to the awe-inspiring Iguassu Falls in the Argentinean side. Higher and almost twice as wide as Niagara, the falls are composed of 275 individual cascades set in a stunning crescent formation. You will use a combination of a train and jungle walking trails to travel to the Argentinean side. Here, visit the observation points to marvel at the astounding power of the falls from different points, including the epic Garganta do Diabo (Devil's Throat). Tonight, visit a local restaurant for a mouth-watering Brazilian barbecue dinner of meat cuts, ribs, and sides complemented by a dazzling folklore show featuring Brazilian, Argentinean, and other Latin American dances and rhythms, including samba and tango.

Day 7 Iguassu - Lima, Peru

Board a flight to Lima, Peru’s capital. After a transfer to your hotel, enjoy the rest of the day free. Relax in the hotel before spending time getting acquainted with the fascinating city of Lima, a modern metropolis full of history and exciting process of cultural changes. Enjoy your dinner in the hotel tonight.

Day 8 Lima

Today, join your guide for a sightseeing tour and start at the Main Square, where the ‘City of Kings’ was founded in 1535. Admire the picturesque lanes and balconied houses and view the Presidential Palace and Lima Cathedral, where the conquistador Francisco Pizarro is buried. Next, visit the 17th-century San Francisco Monastery, which houses a convent, library and catacombs where it’s said 75,000 bodies are buried. After exploring these eerie tunnels, leave old Lima for the modern, middle-class districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, where upscale apartments, restaurants, and shops nuzzle the Pacific coast. Soak in the laid-back atmosphere before visiting Miraflores’ Love Park, where landscaped gardens overlook Lima Bay.

Day 9 Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley of The Incas

This morning, make the short flight to Cusco, a Spanish colonial gem and the Inca empire’s former capital, nestled beneath the Andes. Meet your guide and transfer to Urubamba in the Sacred Valley of the Incas—the former spiritual and agricultural hub of the Inca civilization. Next, head for Awanakancha, a hillside farm and center showcasing Andean llamas, alpacas and vicunas and the famous Peruvian wool textiles derived from them. View the animals, learn how their wool is gathered and spun, and browse the wide array of colorful Peruvian garments. Then, continue to Pisac Market to scour the stalls selling ponchos, rugs, hats, carvings, and replica Inca pieces. After picking up gifts here, check in at your hotel.

Day 10 Sacred Valley - Maras - Moray - Ollantaytambo - Sacred Valley

Another day of discovery beckons with visits to the towns of Maras and Moray, both home to archaeological sites. Travel to Maras to see its glittering mountainside salt flats, which produced crystalline salt for the Incas. At Moray, admire the lushly grassed Inca-built circular terraces in the ground—believed by scholars to have functioned as agricultural research centers. After lunch, visit the ‘living’ Inca town of Ollantaytambo, whose layout replicas that of ancient Inca settlements, and which boasts many archaeological treasures.

Day 11 Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco

The highpoint of their adventure comes today: a visit to UNESCO-protected Machu Picchu, the Inca lost city on a mountain plateau in the Andean foothills. After a Vistadome train journey to Aguas Calientes, ride a shuttle bus to this magical place, a masterpiece of Inca engineering. Marvel at the ruins and phenomenal scenery, and learn how this citadel was probably the retreat of Inca emperor Pachacutec in the mid-1400s. After your tour and lunch, return to Ollantaytambo by shuttle bus and train before a drive to Cusco.

Day 12 Cusco

Enjoy a day in Cusco, Latin America’s oldest, continuously inhabited city and known for its churches and ruins. A walking tour takes you to Koricancha Temple, an important place for Inca worship of the Sun God, and magnificent 16th-century Cusco Cathedral. This afternoon, explore Sacsayhuaman Fortress and Qenqo, a largely religious complex where it’s believed agricultural rituals were staged. Other highlights include Puka Pukara Fortress and Tambomachay, otherwise known as the ‘Inca Baths.’ This evening, have dinner at a restaurant overlooking Cusco’s Main Square, enjoying folk dance and music performances over a buffet of international and ‘novoandino’ dishes—contemporary Peruvian cuisine.

Day 13 Cusco - Lima

Fly back to Lima and after a transfer to your hotel, enjoy the rest of the day free. Perhaps revisit some of the sites visited earlier, or shop for last-minute souvenirs and mementoes. This evening, dinner is served with live show at a unique local restaurant.

Depart Peru with a transfer to Lima Airport for your homeward flight.
